  • This dynamic association organises a number of different events including the Moindou markets, the Bossu Doré Festival and the Palm Tree Festival!

  • Created on 17 May 2012, the Association Les Palmiers de Mwarhûû has three main objectives:
    - To enliven the village of Moindou through special events, shows and entertainment.
    - To help elderly people in their daily lives and bring them some happiness.
    - To encourage young people to take an active part in community life, offer them different activities and provide children with a playground and entertainment on Wednesdays and during the school holidays.

    Did you know...? Mwarhûû was named by local elders after the forest-covered valleys. Mwa means home and Rhûû means vines, so together they translate as “home of the vines”.
