Air New Zealand is back in New Caledonia

Air New Zealand operated its first Noumea–Auckland flight on Saturday 1 November, carrying many passengers delighted to once again reach the destination with the New Zealand national carrier.

The company will initially serve New Caledonia on Saturdays, complementing Aircalin’s two weekly flights. This added capacity will support the recovery of this strategic market, where NCT has been intensifying its efforts since the second half of the year and the partial downgrading of New Zealand’s Travel Alert.

“This is excellent news that will further strengthen the ties between New Zealand and New Caledonia,”
said Mary Thurston, New Zealand’s Consul General in New Caledonia.

A joint campaign with Air New Zealand, supported by Atout France, will also soon bring the destination back into the spotlight for Kiwi travellers through a week-long television broadcast.
