From 1 November 2025, Air New Zealand will restart its direct service between Auckland and Nouméa, offering one flight per week every Saturday.
This long-awaited return marks an important milestone for New Caledonia’s tourism recovery, particularly in the New Zealand market, historically one of the destination’s top three international sources.
The decision follows the official easing of the New Zealand Government’s travel advisory, boosting confidence among travellers and industry partners alike.

The resumption of our Nouméa service reflects our commitment to reconnecting New Zealand and New Caledonia, while ensuring our customers enjoy a safe and reliable journey.
New Caledonia Tourism will support this return with a targeted promotional campaign in New Zealand, including media activities, B2B initiatives, and participation in The Food Show Auckland.
