Association Bwärä Tortues Marine

The beaches of Bourail, La Roche Percée and Turtle Bay are the main nesting sites for New Caledonia's loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) and the second largest site in the South Pacific. During the egg laying and hatching season (November to May), the Bwärä Marine Turtle association makes sure the turtles are protected.
