Port Bouquet Bay (protected area)
Located at the entrance of the tribe bearing the same name, Port Bouquet Bay is a protected area known for its peaceful atmosphere and pristine landscapes. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend with family or friends, surrounded by nature.
From the beach, you can enjoy stunning views of Nému Islet, a UNESCO-listed nature reserve, as well as Pawèrè Islet (in the local language) a little further to the left.
You can take long walks along the wide sandy beach that stretches all the way to the pass, where you’ll get a magnificent view over Port Bouquet Bay. On the opposite side of the pass, you can see part of Tupeti Islet, and further in the distance, the tribe of Grand-Borendy.
