Treat yourself to an introductory “baptême” dive to discover the New Caledonian seabed, leaving from Noumea!
Abyss Plongée’s friendly and professional team guides you to discover the seabed of the largest lagoon in the world. Open to all. No experience required. The introductory dive teaches beginners how to use the equipment and appreciate your first encounters with marine fauna including turtles, dolphins, and sharks! After the initial safety and theory briefing, you start with a first dive in shallow water (less than 6-metres deep) guided by a personal instructor for 20-30 minutes. The site is chosen according to weather conditions. The most regular spot is a 45-minute boat trip from Noumea, close to the Boulari pass, protected by the reef. The water is clear with amazing coral and loads of different fish. For beginners who want to learn more about diving, the "initiation” package includes Level 1 snorkel and mask exercises. The dive lasts about 40 minutes and divers can reach 12-metres deep. If you succeed your first dive and the instructor agrees, you can try a second dive under the same conditions. Includes a snack during the break and diving equipment.
