Always dreamt of sailing autonomously? Learn with an experienced accredited instructor!
This advanced course gives you the necessary experience to become autonomous and responsible on a sailboat. Aboard the school's 10-metre cruiser Team Spirit, it’s a fun and intense way to learn transfers and jibing under the spinnaker, study nautical charts, and navigation maps. Learn maneuvers and become increasingly autonomous under the instructor’s watchful eye.
This course of 5 to 10 sessions is accessible after passing the introductory course or an evaluation session. Concepts covered:
- change tack and jibing - adjusting the sails: downhaul, cunningham, carriage, trimming
- reefing
- unfurling the spinnaker
- man overboard
- nautical chart study
- navigation plans
- instruments and GPS
You are offered two options:
- pass for 5 sessions
- pass for 10 sessions + 1 free
What to bring:
- clothes that can get a little wet
- warm waterproof jacket or K-way (depending on the weather)
- sun protection (glasses, sunscreen, hat)
- closed shoes recommended
- water bottle
- sailing gloves (optional)
