The must-see Parc des Grandes Fougères covers more than 4,500 hectares of tropical rainforest with a rich, biodiverse ecosystem. The aim of the park is to protect this exceptional natural environment, which is home to many typical native flora and fauna. Here, the tree fern reigns supreme. Many New Caledonian birds can also been heard and seen if you keep your ears and eyes open, including imperial pigeons, kagus, green pigeons and New Caledonian warblers.
