  • The historical tour begins at the Musée de la ville de Nouméa, the former Marchand Bank, New Caledonia's first bank, and consists of 23 panels scattered throughout the city.

  • The panels are translated into French, English and Japanese, so both residents and tourists can discover the history of the city's monuments and historical sites while following a route indicated in the Historical Tour booklet produced by the City Museum. New panels are added to the tour as it goes along.
