Go scuba diving from Amédée Lighthouse with or without oxygen tanks with Pierre Crubillé, runner-up in the freediving world championships!
Blue Caledonia Diving is a diving club based on stunning Amédée Island, a 45-minute boat ride from Nouméa. After arriving in New Caledonia 12 years ago as a professional diving instructor, Pierre Crubillé, runner-up in the freediving world championships, started the Blue Caledonia Freediving Club in 2013, with the idea of creating a complementary scuba diving club later. And that's exactly what he did, as you can now choose between freediving and scuba diving excursions, as well as snorkelling around Amédée Island with its exceptional marine reserve.

The dives are held during the day, on weekends only. There is a morning and afternoon session, with a catered lunch and free time at Amédée Lighthouse. Freedivers, experienced scuba divers and beginners are all welcome. The club transports its customers on Pictilis, a spacious and comfortable 15½ m boat with a washroom and hand-held shower with hot water. The Cressi diving equipment is brand new.

A typical day with Blue Caledonia Diving consists of:
- boarding Pictilis in Nouméa at 7.30-7.45 am (South Port Marina, pontoon A);
- arriving at Amédée Island for an instructor briefing before the first dive (starting at 9 am);
- back to the island at 10.45 am;
- maiden dives and guided snorkelling tours from 11 am to 12 pm;
- lunch break and relaxing in the shade of the “farés”;
- depart for afternoon dives at 1.45 pm, returning to the lighthouse at 3.15 pm;
- back to Nouméa for 4.30-4.45 pm.

You will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire available on the website when you book online.
