Enjoy a simple, friendly meal with the owners of Koueney campsite, overlooking the stunning Isle of Pines lagoon.
Jean-Louis and Hélène offer a warm welcome to visitors who pop in for lunch, whether or not they are staying at the campsite. Kind and helpful, they will put you instantly at ease. Seated at a large wooden table overlooking the beach and Duroc and Adventure islands, you’ll share a sociable meal with other guests, where the conversation flows.
Meals are meticulously prepared from local produce and cooked in the wood-fired oven. They include fish and chicken with house-made sauce, lobster and the famous “bulimes” (escargots from the Isle of Pines). And no visit to a Kanak tribe would be complete without side dishes like poingo bananas, coconut rice and yams.
Chez Loulou et Lhélène is ideally situated 2 km from Kuto and 1 km from Kanuméra.
