Grotte de la Troisième

Cave in Île des Pins
  • Explore a mystical cave with a large pool of fresh water you can scuba dive in!

  • Grotte de la Troisième is a cave located near the Kéré tribe on Route de l’Aérodrome. The cave is quite difficult to access: you have to drive down a long, narrow track through the forest to reach it. Once you get there, you’ll find parking for no more than 2 or 3 cars. Then you have to cross very rugged terrain to reach the cave on foot—make sure you're wearing closed shoes. You can scour the site for “bulimes”, the island’s famous native snails that like to hide in fallen leaves.
