You'll be warmly welcomed at the Villa Cachée gallery, where you can admire a variety of local creations, Papuan sculptures and Aboriginal paintings, emblematic of Pacific art. This gallery, located in a colonial house, is the place to be if you are passionate about primitive art.
The Villa Cachée gallery has a "return from a trip" atmosphere. Here and there are objects collected throughout the South Seas, mainly in Papua, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Indonesia and Australia. What they all have in common is that each piece is unique, has a life of its own, and is aesthetically pleasing. On the walls, the extraordinary composition and captivating colours of the Aboriginal canvases are sure to catch the eye, and never before has an ancestral art form been so contemporary.... New Caledonian creations complete this rich universe of authentic objects.
In addition to its indoor spaces, Villa Cachée has a number of outdoor areas opening onto a lush garden. It has several decks, including 60 m2 of covered space. These are available for hire and can be used for a variety of purposes, including conferences, workshops, training courses, ephemeral boutiques and yoga classes.
