Back on terra firma, explore the various facets of Nouméa, a dynamic and cosmopolitan capital. In the morning, visit one of the city’s many museums, such as the Tjibaou Cultural Centre, the Maritime Museum, or the MUZ (currently under renovation).

After lunch with a sea view, unwind at the Tina golf course with panoramic views.

In the evening, try your luck at the Casino Royal or Grand Casino or enjoy the local atmosphere at the Bingo opposite Quai Ferry.

Early morning, depart for Lifou, the largest of the Loyalty Islands. The InterContinental Lifou Wadra Bay Resort, a five-star hotel complex (opening in 2024), will be your haven of peace for the next two days. After settling into your comfortable room, enjoy the view of the turquoise lagoon.

Later, take a guided island tour, including breathtaking bay views, vanilla plantations, and insights into Kanak culture and traditions.

On your second day on the island, you’ll get to meet the local people and see some of the island’s most beautiful landscapes. In Lifou, many tribes organise events where you can share a table d’hôte meal and take part in traditional workshops (fishing, weaving, visiting the fields, etc.). Take this opportunity to experience something really special, off the beaten track!

The island is also the perfect place for an exceptional first dive. Lagoon Safaris take you to the north of Santal Bay, where several coral formations are linked by arches covered in giant gorgonians. An ideal backdrop for spotting dogtooth tunas, scorpion fish and leopard sharks, to the delight of photographers.

End the day by relaxing on an almost deserted beach, head to Kiki Beach, a secret beach accessible after a 30-minute walk, to Peng, Luengöni or simply to the beach of your hotel, Wadra Beach.

Today, you are off to Farino, a small eco-tourism town in Western New Caledonia. Close to the Central Mountain Range, this green commune is home to the Parc des Grandes Fougères (Great Ferns Park). In this natural setting, you’ll have the chance to observe many native flora and fauna species, such as the Giant fern tree and the green pigeon. Reconnect with nature by exploring the park on horseback or on a guided tour. Take a birdwatching tour or a themed walk to learn about the numerous plant properties with Mêrêsaaba Rando.

In the evening, immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere by sleeping in a mesmerising transparent “bubble”. Comfortable and stylish, each bubble has its own private spa, deck terrace and top-of-the-range furnishings. An incredible cocoon where you can admire the starry sky with your loved ones…

From Farino, it’s just an hour to the Bourail coast, with its renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site lagoon. Check in at the Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort, located between an immense beach and a protected nature reserve. This place is a paradise for outdoor activities: golf, mountain biking, hiking or horse riding, water sports… On your first day, embark with Ouest Corail on a glass-bottomed boat trip above the coral and multicoloured fish of the lagoon.

On land, climb to the top of the hills of Deva Domain to photograph a breathtaking panorama of the mountains and lagoon.

After the effort, head to the long beach of Poé for a moment of idleness, your feet in the white sand and your eyes set on the turquoise water…

One of Poé’s star activities is flying over the lagoon in a microlight, paramotor or seaplane. The thrill of this experience, combined with the scenery beneath, will leave a lasting impression on you! High visibility allows you to observe the marine species in an exceptional setting between turquoise water and green mountains.

On your second day in Bourail, we suggest you get on horseback for a ride with Far West Ranch on the Deva Domain.

If you’re a golf fan, head to Exclusiv Golf Deva. Its architecture, designed by the American firm Dye Designs Group, highlights the endemic nature of the archipelago and its breathtaking view over the lagoon. Close to the sea, the golf course is an 18-hole, par 72 course measuring 6,663 metres in length.

Leave the West Coast behind and head back to Noumea for a short 30-minute flight to the Isle of Pines, another treasure of the New Caledonian archipelago. You’ll be staying at the Le Méridien Hotel, on the marvellous Oro Bay. Its location on a white sandy beach calls for the most exquisite recharging of batteries. Lie back on one of the hotel’s sun loungers or in a romantic alcove facing the sea. Then enjoy a signature massage or immerse yourself in the bubbles and jets of a spa with a view. Feeling sporty? Borrow a paddle and kayak to skim the water’s surface in your search for sea turtles… Happiness is here, simple and accessible.

Take a boat trip to the marvellous Brosse and Moro islets, departing from Kuto beach with Mana Nautique. After a trip out to sea in search of turtles, manta rays and dolphins, you’ll have the chance to do some snorkelling to observe the fish, before disembarking on Brosse islet. Enjoy a lobster lunch on the sand of the Moro islet, in the shade of a tree. The return trip in the middle of the afternoon will give you time to enjoy an Aperol Spritz on Kuto beach at Kou-Bugny.

Marvel at the island’s seabed by scuba diving. Early in the morning, take a first dive with Kunié Scuba Center, the island’s only diving club located in Ouaméo Bay. Guided by a qualified and experienced professional, dive into the Garden of Eden, populated by colourful fish and coral. After lunch, take a dip in the bays of Kuto or Kanuméra: these are certainly the two most beautiful beaches on the island!

Enjoy a guided tour of the Island. Guided by a local, you’ll come across picturesque churches, majestic viewpoints, Kanak culture and legendary caves along the way!

For your last day on the Isle of Pines, finish on a high note with a traditional outrigger trip in Upi Bay. The beauty of this ride between the coral rocks set against the translucent water will leave you with beautiful memories! From your boat, observe the scenery and look out for turtles, rays and dolphins… After 2 hours on the water, the excursion continues on foot through the tropical forest to the island’s natural swimming pool. Here you can snorkel and observe the many multicoloured fish surrounded by colonial pine trees.

Before leaving the island, linger one last time on one of the island’s beaches: Kuto, Kanuméra or Oro…
